NEWS UPDATE 4.11.04
"Chila" has been mated to "Dzong" (Dzong Pen Gangkar) from
Slovakia, and puppies are expected 6/7 January 2005.
Regular updates will follow.
I had planned to drive to the Slovak Republic with Chila, but it would have
involved a journey of over 2500 miles. Martina Hudcovika and her father Milan
kindly offered to meet me half way across Europe, so Chila travelled 1000
kilometres east and Dzong travelled 1100 kilometres west, and we met up in
Cologne (Koln) Germany, where we stayed for 5 days. We were delighted on the 4th
and 5th day, when Dzong served Chila twice with 11 and 15 minute ties, and we
are keeping fingers tightly crossed for a litter from this nice combination of
British, French, Dutch and Slovakian lines.

CHILA HAS GIVEN BIRTH TO HER LITTER, ONLY 4 PUPS-3 FEMALES AND 1 MALE - ALL BLACK & TAN. SHE STARTED WITH THE FIRST ONE AT 11.15PM LAST NIGHT(5TH), AND WENT THROUGH THE NIGHT WHELPING HER LAST ONE AT 6AM THIS MORNING. PLEASED TO REPORT THAT ALL (AND MUM) ARE DOING WELL, AND SEEM HEALTHY AND VERY CONTENTED. CHILA IS BEING THE PERFECT MUM.

| Wed 2.3.05 The vet paid a home visit today to carry out his health check on all the puppies. This included checking for entropian, umbilical hernias, heart, eyes, ears and joints, and I am pleased to report that all 4 pups were clear. They also had 1st vaccinations and were micro-chipped. Third worming treatment will be done next week, just a few days before they leave us for their new homes on the weekend of 11-14th March at 9 weeks old. |
