PUPPIES

OUR BREEDING PROGRAMME

We are not a commercial kennels, but we do hobby breed occasional litters, with the emphasis being on good temperaments and healthy dogs. Generally, TM bitches come into season just once per year-Autumn - with pups born late December/early January. Our top priority is to place our puppies in homes which will be for life, and to this end we do "vet" our prospective owners quite thoroughly. Many owners who contact us and eventually obtain a puppy have been in touch and on our list for quite some time, (some up to 2 years) taken the time and trouble to visit us and our pack, and convinced us that they are right for the breed and the breed is right for them.

Because of the rarity of this breed (less than 300 in the UK, and on average only 20 to 50 puppies per year throughout the country), it is highly unlikely that one will find a Tibetan Mastiff in their own town, and you will have to be prepared to travel to see this breed "in the flesh".

Please contact us early in order to establish a relationship which hopefully may result in you becoming the proud owner of this magnificent dog. We, as responsible owners and hobby breeders, encourage our new owners to keep in touch and are always here to offer advice and support. When contacting us, either by e-mail or telephone, please be prepared to give us as much information as possible and to be asked many questions. E-mails which simply ask "How much is a puppy", or "Do you have any pups spare", do not give me much encouragement to even bother with a reply.

In the event of unforeseen /unavoidable circumstances resulting in a puppy owner being unable to continue to keep their TM, no matter what age, we ask that they contact us in the first instance, and promise to do our best to try and help to re-home the dog. We do NOT want to see any of our offspring ending up in rescue. We are only a phone call away.

I sometimes receive enquiries from people who would like to own a TM, but do not wish to take on an eight week old puppy, and are willing to offer a good home to any rescue or re-home dogs available. Thankfully, very very FEW rescues ever come up, but occasionally there could be a TM looking for a new home. I, through this website, get many enquiries and am always willing to help out, even if a TM looking for re-homing has not been bred by us. If you find yourself in the sad position of not being able to keep your TM , please ALWAYS contact your breeder in the first instance. However, I will also help all I can to find a home for your dog, and am willing to put up it's photograph and details on this site.

Finally, you may wish to visit my FAQ page, which may be able to help answer some of the many questions to determine if this is the right breed for you, and vice-versa.
